Actor Wesley Snipes was indicted Tuesday on eight counts of tax fraud for allegedly failing to pay nearly $12 million in taxes and failing to file returns for six years.
Federal prosecutors in Tampa said Snipes fraudulently claimed refunds in 1996 and 1997 on taxes already paid, and then failed to file returns from 1999 and 2004. NASSAU, Bahamas -- The 20-year-old son of Anna Nicole Smith has been found dead in a hospital in the Bahamas, where the former reality TV star and Playboy playmate gave birth to a baby girl.

Mel Gibson, who was arrested Friday for driving under the influence, has issued a new statement apologizing for making anti-Semitic comments to a police officer.
